Shilpa Shirodkar’s Death Rumor Shocks Bollywood

In a shocking recall, Shilpa Shirodkar shares how a false death rumour once claimed she was shot dead during filming, triggering nationwide panic.

The popular negro-looking Shilpa Shirodkar, who most recently starred on the television program Bigg Boss and previously starred in the film alongside Gopi Kishan and Aankhen, was the target of terrifying rumour, that she had died. The very dreadful title of the newspaper was that Shilpa was shot dead on the sets of her 1995 film Raghuveer. Her friends and relatives were taken aback by the news and experienced perplexity and concern.

As recently told in a Pinkvilla interview, Shilpa detailed the traumatising experience. She remembered how her relations in the homeland got the fake article when she was shooting with Suniel Shetty in Kullu Manali. Since there were no cell phones back then, her father tried desperately to call the hotel to inquire about her safety. Everyone stared at me throughout the photo shoot, unsure if it was me or someone else, she says.

The movie which included such stars as Suresh Oberoi, Mohnish Bahl and Gulshan Grover, was an accidental part of such a strange scandal. Reflectively, the episode in question is currently recalled by Shilpa as crazy and a heart breaking one, that is, misinformation involved can be propagating rapidly and life changing. In this case, however, it was only a false alarm.
