India’s Squad Shaken Ahead of England Test

BCCI confirms Nitish Reddy out with knee injury

BCCI confirms Nitish Reddy out with knee injury; Anshul Kamboj added as India battles fitness issues before 4th Test against England

Ahead of the fourth Test match against England in Manchester, Team India has been beset by a number of injury problems, including the exclusion of players like Nitish Kumar Reddy and Arshdeep Singh.

Reddy, who is naturally an all-round player, will not play in the final two games of the series.

Anshul Kamboj, a spinner with the Chennai Super Kings, was the only substitute added to the squad by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) prior to the Manchester match.

Some sources claim that Akash Deep might be benched and Bumrah might possibly start the fourth test. Calls for spinner Kuldeep Yadav’s inclusion to the playing XI have also been made but the chinaman spinner hasn’t featured in any of the three matches so far. The BCCI said in a statement that all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy will miss the next two Test matches due to a left knee injury. The group hopes Nitish gets well soon and is prepared to go home.
